Finally, a mode of helping local designers get their start! Scottsdale Fashion Market is the first of its kind in Arizona to showcase and sell local Fashion Designers' and Artists' work in the Phoenix-Scottsdale market, allowing designers to lease private showroom/office space. As you walk in, you'll see clothing, jewelry, purses, and more from a diverse choice of designers perfectly scattered from wall to wall. For anyone who seeks to find local designer talent, SFM is the obvious place to go. The owner, Shannon McRae, took some time to share with us a few things we didn't know about her boutique and their other two integrated businesses, Local Talent (a retail boutique) and Sew Source (for alterations & apparel production).

1. Scottsdale Fashion Market (aka SFM) is a wholesale showroom hosting $38 and under sample sales to the public every Friday & Saturday.
2. Local Talent AZ (SFM's integrated sister company) features 44 local Arizona Designers. 3. SFM is a resource for all needs of Fashion Designers and links the public in ways most companies have not in the past.
5. Sew Source (their other sister company) provides alterations and makes custom clothing of all types for the public.
6. Turner Classic Movies and fashion shows play on the flat screen TV daily at SFM.
7. SFM is on Scottdales Artwalk route and features talented local Artists like Lori Hagstrom, Nicolas Snyder & Christy MacKellar.
8. The 3000 sq ft venue is available for social events (just contact Shannon for details).
9. Shannon is a member of Fashion Group International (FGI).
10. She's also a member of Local First Arizona and a member of 5th Ave Merchants Association.
